May 31st is World No Tobacco Day. Quitting smoking is one of the most beneficial lifestyle changes you can make for your health. Here are a few reasons to make this change: •

Quitting is difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone. Prairie Mountain Health offers services and resources to help you quit successfully. Nurse Practitioners, Community Health Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and My Health Team Pharmacist are among the healthcare providers available to provide smoking cessation support. Nicotine Replacement Therapy is available at select Prairie Mountain Health Locations and Mobile Clinics. Contact your local Primary Health Care Centre for information about the supports available. Find out about your health plan coverage of Nicotine Replacement Therapy and other medications to aid in smoking cessation from your pharmacist.
