Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) held a very well-attended information session in Dauphin January 8th regarding health care aide careers. The session —which attracted over 50 people— was held at the Dauphin Friendship Centre, which partners with the health region on many initiatives.
The Uncertified Health Care Aide Training Information Session provided those interested with information relating to position duties, benefits of working with PMH as well as on how to apply. This session has 15 seats available and consists of eight days of paid classroom training including two hours of job shadowing. The training will occur from February 19th until March 7th. PMH's Indigenous Human Resources Program was a lead organizer of the event. Presenter Shawn Charlebois (pictured) and program support Ken McIvor indicated that the closing date for applications was January 16th.
