The Urban Indigenous Clinic at Makaday Ginew Memorial Centre wrapped up their COVID-19 vaccine clinics after a year. The Urban Indigenous Clinic at Makaday Ginew Memorial Centre wrapped up their COVID-19 vaccine clinics after a year.
Staff had a final meal together and Brandon Friendship Centre presented ribbon skirts to immunizers and navigators that had worked at this clinic.
This clinic was a great partnership with Prairie Mountain Health, Brandon Friendship Centre and Bear Clan. Clients were able to receive their vaccine in a supportive environment, and were able to smudge if they wanted. Elders were present for support and clients were given a meal to take home.
PMH will continue to offer pop up clinics at this site every Tuesday for the month of April from 2 - 5pm. Offering both walk ins and booked appointments. Book online at Protectmb.ca or call to book an appointment at 1-844-626-8222 daily between 6am to 8pm.
