The Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living (MHSAL) has established the Wait Times Reduction Task Force. The mandate of the task force is to recommend actions to shorten wait times in emergency rooms and for other priority procedures and treatments where Manitoba ranks below the Canadian average.
The Priority Procedures Wait Time Reduction Task Force focus is on improving access to priority procedures (eg. cataract surgery, hip and knee replacement surgery, MRI).
A public consultation meeting is scheduled in Brandon on Thursday, April 27th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the Keystone Centre MNP Hall (#1, 1175 – 18th Street).
If you are unable to attend the public consultation but would like to share your experience you can participate in an online survey.
